I am a retired LE Officer who injured myself in the line of duty. I live with chronic back pain because of that. I also have PTSD which I manage very well from my career. In 2014 I went to rehab for 28 days due to my addiction to opiates. I was struggling dealing with the PTSD and afraid to “ask” for help! In Law Enforcement there is a “stigma” that asking for help is a sign of weakness! Not only was I trying to prove a woman could be a cop there was no way I was going to show “weakness”! I also had a suicide attempt in 2014 with an OD. I have survived 2 sexual assaults both by “supervisors” and have a wealth of knowledge and a “passion” to continue in my quest to “help people” which I have always done! However I have also learned the skills to help “me” too when I start to feel the “monsters” emerge from their closet! I feel I would be a great asset to your service! I am kind, caring, compassionate and have knowledge and patience! I will commit to being “present” with each client.
I a retired Law Enforcement Officer with over 20 years of talking with and helping people. I am an empath and when I talk with people I am “present” and listen. I have personally experienced opiate addiction, Rehab, 12 step meetings, PTSD, a suicide attempt and sexual assault in my career. I am not currently “certified” but have done and learned more hands on with all walks of life than most people with a certificate. I don’t just “talk” something I have “studied” about, I talk with real experience.
